These photos should suffice to at least encourage readers to attend the artistic events held at City College; the semesterly MFA Open Studios in particular. The most recent exhibition took place on the evening of May 4 in both Compton-Goethals and Steinman Halls. Some artists were available to talk to visitors about their work, but my overall feeling was that the pieces could only be appreciated through firsthand experience. Verbal description is insufficient, especially in the face of such an interesting and varied body of work. It was a stimulating and enjoyable evening, well attended but understandably less so by the undergraduate student body. The large amount of wine at hand was helpful.
