With the sun shining on a beautiful Thursday afternoon, throngs of City College students gathered for a welcome back rally in the NAC plaza. With music blasting and people dancing, the excitement was abundant. City College men's soccer head coach Roberto Ignaccolo looked on as students in his squad took part in a pep rally hosted by City College's student-run radio station, WCCR 640 AM.

The US Open is the fourth and last Grand Slam tennis tournament of the year. It usually begins in the last week of August and doesn't end until about a week after Labor Day. It is held at the USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Center in Flushing Meadows-Corona Park, Queens, so if you take the 7 train, you're going to have trouble getting a seat.
